- Volunteer -
We love our voluteers! They come from all over the world and all walks of life. We have many who come with Campers on Mission, S.O.W.E.R.S., Baptist Builder and Texas Baptist Men Groups along with indivuals and church groups. Check out our volunteer

- Giving - Are you one of those spiritually gifted and abundantly
blessed people who feels called by God to come along side Highland Lakes with financial support through general giving or planned giving? Maybe your one who loves the camp and
has experienced life change here
but just don't have lots of extra money - then check out Friends of
Highland Lakes and see how far $10 can go!
- Attending and Telling- We want to serve you and your church with the best programming and facilities we can and we need you to support us by bringing groups for retreats, leadership training and summer camps. We also need you as ambassadors to tell others about the ministry here at Highland Lakes Camp and encourage those to bring their groups here and to invest their finances and support here as well.
Funds
are needed for the ongoing operations of the ministry, development of
the physical property, development of various ministries and programs
and reduce debt load.
Income from operations of the camp are not
enough to cover all these areas which are typical in camp ministry. The camp requires active participation of staff, board members and
volunteers to raise necessary funds to properly and effectively serve
our associational churches, other local denominations and churches and individuals in reaching, strengthening
and refreshing those who use the camp facilities and its ministries.
All areas below are not in effect but they are on the drawing board for the near future. Click on the highlighted titles for links to the areas that are current and as God leads you. Thank You for partnering with HLCCC!

- Remember, Highland
Lakes is not a
church—we are a para church ministry. Your tithe should go to your
local church. Anything you do for Highland Lakes
should be above and beyond your tithe to the local church.
If you have
questions about giving to HLC or would like to discuss specific projects
that are on the drawing board, please call Danny Dawdy at 512-264-1777
or email him at danny@highlandlakescamp.org.

Unrestricted giving and Designated giving -
One of the greatest ways you can help Highland Lakes is to give an
unrestricted gift. The costs associated with operating Highland Lakes
have
changed dramatically in recent years due to increases in personnel
costs, medical insurance costs, utility costs and the like. Our pricing
structure does not allow us to recoup all of our expenses on an annual
basis. We are one of the best values for Christian camping in Texas and
to reach most churches budget needs we need to keep our fees as
affordable as possible. So we have felt like we cannot increase our
prices at the same pace
of the increase of our expenses. Highland Lakes needs approximately
$250,000
in unrestricted giving each year.
Assets and Property - Cars, Trucks, Equipment, golf carts, things we have listed for our needs throughout the year
We will list on our web site and newsletters various specific needs throughout the year.
Foundation
or grants - build relationships with people or grant giving
organizations that have interests in seeing HLCCC grow and thrive and
have matching goals and ideas. - in 12-18 months start with 2-4 per year
Possibly work with local schools who will come to the ODLC to identify
businesses in their community who will financially support them in
participating in the outdoor education program.
Bring Youth, Pre Teen,
Children and
adults to camp for camps,
retreats etc.
Missions Teams - Have several teams throughout summer, spring breaks, winter breaks, etc to build and restore camp projects - this is not limited to adult teams - we can support and love student youth groups also!
Volunteering - SOWERS, C.O.M.'ers, Hot Hearts, Camp Leadership Staff, Teaching in ODLC
( retired volunteers and others)
Prayer
- voice through Facebook, blog etc - have a sign up list to be able to
send out prayer needs of camp, staffers, or campers
Affiliated Products and/or Services
- these are products and services we will promote for members to
purchase and use from local businesses who will give back a portion of
the sales to the camp .
