TO ALL Churches and Pastors
Well here we are after the fire of Miles Auditorium and three years of hard work and Gods guidance, we have finished the new auditorium and we have just completed the first summer of camps in the new building.
It was incredible to see what God has done to encourage, build and give a hope and future to many this summer after the tragic loss of the original Miles auditorium.
As most of you know that Travis County adopted the city of Austin building codes which is great for the best building codes for current and safe construction. However, the costs were enormous, unplanned and not covered by our insurance policies. We had approx $1,000,000 in extra costs in the new construction code specifications, sprinkler system and septic system. Not to mention the need to be able to expand and serve even more through the next decade of growth.
We have seen a great outpouring of support from individuals and churches stepping up to financially help fund the extra costs of the new building that were unexpected. We have seen children, youth, Sunday School Classes and VBS’s all over our associations use “Ring The Bell” and so much more. We can’t thank each of you enough from the bottom of our hearts for your support. We pray you have been blessed as well for your faithfulness.
We are currently putting together several programs to help pay off the debt of the new auditorium , further the many other projects for continued service and growth and to better provide a future of ministry here at Highland Lakes CC. We desire to continue to serve you with the important mission of providing facilities in equipping and reaching people for Christ. We also feel very strongly that we are to serve our churches with many more opportunities to partner together in reaching your communities and the world for Jesus Christ through more camping, retreats, mission trips and projects with ministries that encourage, equip and train your members for outreach, discipleship and leadership training!
Please prayerfully review the online brochure, "Friends of Highland Lakes" and our "Your Camp" brochures, about the many ways Highland Lakes CC can partner with your church to fulfill your ministry goals. We can also customize any kind of ministry to better help your congregation meet specific needs. Plus how we can work together to raise the needed support to complete the rebuilding process and further the work we have been called to do here at HLCCC.
